OVERVIEW
An AI startup product redesign case study: from inherited UI to UX-led restructuring, with final UI delivery, component thinking, and handoff-ready outputs.

Design audit: why UI polish was not enough
The project initially appeared to be a UI refresh, but the real challenge was structural. The inherited design contained UX issues across hierarchy, task continuity, and page ownership. This meant that improving visuals alone would not resolve the usability problems.
FRAGMENTED TASK FLOW
Uploading, reading, generating, sharing, and revising felt disconnected
UNCLEAR OWNERSHIP ACROSS PAGES
Home, history, profile, and archive functions lacked clear boundaries
INCONSISTENT VISUAL LOGIC
The interface did not yet support trust, readability, and AI product identity
Reframing the problem
Clarify the structure; Simplify the core task flow; Create a clearer visual language for an AI product
